A Less-than-original-thought Wrapped in a Borrowed Cliche
With my father's passing, there exists one less voice to articulate the lives and hopes of what others have called "The Greatest Generation."

just wondering
Why does it seem that the generations coming after the "greatest" seem to have basically given up? I encounter so much apathy (while battling with my own!) that it's depressing.
So I suppose I should take a pill? and then another?
Re: just wondering
Guess my attitude is compounded by performing a recent burial service for the husband of my best friend. My tears flowed as I prayed I would keep my voice for the readings and prayers.
Ah, again, I made it about me -- sorry.
No matter the relationship with our parents or our age when they pass, we still feel like orphans.
Hope you have peace.
