Rock'n'Roll
Nov. 14th, 2017 10:17 amFortunately, no one was seriously hurt, just scratches and bruises apparently, but 50 students were left homeless due to the building being evacuated pending investigation. The link is here:

Had a similar experience, back in the day, when the Buddy Greeley band was playing at the old Yellow Balloon off Erie Blvd. Buddy was rockin,' the crowd was jumpin,' and the floor was havin' a hard time keepin' up, I guess.
Anyway, my friend and I noticed the crowd was jumping in unison and I remembered something my old man had told me--he was in the Army Corps of Engineers during WWII--about something called the "harmonic frequency of structures" and how, when a large unit was marching over a bridge, as they were in France, they were told to march out of step so as to not bring it down.
My friend'd had some engineering in college and had heard the same thing so, following an exchange of hand signals--couldn't HEAR a thing--we got the heck out of there. Guess we loved our rock'n'roll but weren't willing to die for it, lol...
