Thanks, I truly appreciate your concern. Be assured that I'm gonna continue doing what I have to do to get through this.
It's just that I've worked so hard over the past five months to become fully functional and get frustrated when those around me don't appreciate the effort, acknowledge the progress, or recognize the impact of their personal decisions on the lives of others.
As I've said so many times to my son, "You can choose where, when, and indeed whether to smoke. I don't have those options when it comes to breathing."
But today is a new day, I had my rum and Coke and survived it, and I have a cool-looking shelf to sand, finish, and install above the computer desk. And if I don't bump my head on it too many times after I've gotten it up there, I may well live to see tomorrow...
