In Other, Better News

The rain, which had fallen intermittently overnight, stopped for long enough this morning that, even with the cooler temps, the pavement dried off enough that I was able to take Black Allegro off the mag trainer and do my first ride of the day outside.

And after that, I took a short nap and then got "Stella By Starlight Stagg" out of her case and did my practice exercises before lunch. She, I, we sounded worse than we did yesterday, but that's almost a given.

There will always be variations in the quality of day-to-day practice sessions, and that is especially true--and profoundly, painfully noticeable--after a long layoff or when just starting.

And so, with that in mind, I counted the fact that I'd opened her case and made some undignified noises through her (sorry, Stella)--two days in a row--a win, a good thing.

May you find the same in your life today...

great name for your horn! And yes, a win. I managed 17,169 steps...and got some hot peppers and tomatoes. Each to their own,I guess.

12K. When I started, 10K. Our friend Mitch often does 22-23K.

I'm not sure what I was thinking about when I bought the peppers...
