Late Night Hours, Lately

Been spending some late night hours, lately, working to compile hard copy of past journal entries. Basically, I've gone back to the very beginning to pull out some of the more coherant and otherwise readable pieces from my LJ narrative.

For now, I seem to have decided to stick with the prose stuff although it's sometimes difficult to do that if there's a poem that's halfway decent and seems to fit the ongoing narrative. (I guess the dealbreaker would be if I found one that was absolutely necessary to an ongoing theme or to the continuity of the larger narrative.)

I've also decided to stay away from any compilations of pieces for now--it's too easy to get bogged down in finding and rewriting all the pieces that might go together to tell a particular story. And anyway, that's something that's more easily done once all the pieces are "out on the table" and easily accessible for evaluation, sequencing, final editing, etc.

Anyway, this whole night thing is sort of driven by necessity--if I want to get it done, this is when the quiet time is. Plenty of time to nap, I guess, when I'm on the other side of the dirt...
