Got out early to do my first ride today, thinking that this was the 80%-chance-of-rain day. Turns out it's not. That's tomorrow and it's dropped to 70%. Yayyy! I guess.
My plan is, if tomorrow looks like a no-ride day, I'm gonna work in the basement, vacuuming, cutting the mat for under the bike and mag trainer, and then do my rides down there.
It'll be a whole different routine and, because I went cheap--didn't buy a programmable trainer, I'm gonna have to improvise until I have something that I can write down and then begin to shape into a progressive training routine.
I've done that most of my life, but right now I'm still struggling with the notion of being surrounded by four concrete block walls instead of riding free in the open air.
I guess, as I've told my grandson--who probably wasn't listening, I need to remember that what we have is today. And to then not clutter it with regrets about what I may not have tomorrow.
Because, you know, I may not have tomorrow...
