Downstairs, on my dining room table--as yet unopened--is the Big Blue Book of Bicycle Repair. 4th Edition, from Park Tool.

Having finished One Flew Over, I'm gonna open the BBB to read while I take my morning blood pressure.

Which should be better for keeping me calm, for at least a few minutes, at the start of yet another crazy day in this crazy life...

It's a GAS!

When dressed right, cold weather cycling is a GAS! It's currently 44 degrees outside in the 'Cuse and IDK if that honestly qualifies as COLD, especially on the windward side of the Great Lakes, but it feels that way to me. Feels good, actually, except in the lungs--which I'm gonna remedy, I hope, with a new mask.

Anyway, when I saw it was relatively clear this AM, but forecast to deteriorate starting around noon, I got right out there after BP reading, hydration, and meds, but before breakfast. And before dentures, lol. So no big smiles at anyone enroute.

I've kind of settled for one ride a day, if that's all I can get outdoors, this time of year. Because I know that, soon enough, I'll be doing it ALL indoors. And need to be grateful for what I've got right now.

And I am.
