For some reason, I woke up with Rick Astley playing inside of my head this morning. You know, the '80s hit, "Never Gonna Give You Up."

But maybe the version that he sings with Choir!Choir!Choir! in Toronto. (Because he's older and/ So am I. See what I did there?)

It was like I'd somehow "RickRolled" myself, lol, to reference the meme.

Anyway, part of the lyric goes,

Never gonna give you up,
Never gonna let you down,
Never gonna run around and desert you.
Never gonna make you cry,
Never gonna say goodbye,
Never gonna tell a lie and hurt you.

And it occurs to me, now, how much better things might've been if I'd lived my earlier life like an '80s pop song...
