I've gotta say that last night at Night Writers was one of the most amazing writers' meetings I've ever attended. It marked the return to public view of two old friends from previous incarnations of the Night Writers and boulevard writers groups, Mike Musler and Sherry Pratt.

Sherry read from a typically engaging and insightful work, which is currently in progress, and Mike returned with a highly polished and riveting piece called "Going Home." The discussion that followed Mike's presentation included many statements like, "you really should find a publisher for this."

Thanks and congratulations to both for a memorable evening.

I'm waiting for the movie based on the Pulitzer-Prize winning story by Mike Musler. Maybe I should ask for his autograph now?

sue, i think you're on to something. we need to get mike, under some pretense or other, to sign a BUNCH of autographs. then, when the time is right, we auction them on ebay. it's the only way i'll be able to afford tickets once the book is made into a movie.

Hey, I wonder if Jill has kept the sign-in sheets for Night Writers? If she did, and Mike actually signed in.... I have first dibs!!!

Perhaps you should be interviewing him so that you can do an unauthorized bio!!!! (For when he is rich and famous!)

But we shouldn't let HIM know these plots we have - he just might keep all his autographs for himself! AND do an autobio!!!

NO fair! WE thought of it first..
