Conspiracy Theory

It's only Tuesday, the beginning of the week, really, and I'm exhausted and unable to sleep. The seasonal allergies which, other years, had been miraculously kept at bay by a simple but powerful nasal spray have somehow broken through the cocktail of nasal spray, allergy med and twice-daily inhaled steroid that I've been prescribed for my COPD.
I'm wondering if the fact that it's been a very cold, extraordinarily wet spring which just this week has burst through in a frenzy of blossoming trees and other sources of pollen which doubtless showered down on me as I sat outdoors with the kids on the LeMoyne College quadrangle following their field trip to the college science labs which was actually very cool but now has me thinking that there's a conspiracy afoot, between science and nature, to end me.
Which of course leads me, in my English Majorly way, to say, "kids, avoid run-on sentences at all costs." And learn, while you're young, that it's sometimes best just to stay on the bus. Lest all your best intentions conspire to kill you...
