I've become convinced that there's a reason why we become forgetful in our old age.

It happens so that we're forced to walk up and down stairs several additional times, during each day, to retrieve what we've forgotten.

And this is good for our heart, lungs, circulation and overall conditioning. See?

Some neuroscientists have suggested that this could not be the case because the improved circulation has not been shown to have a positive effect on the brain. At least not in my case.

However, I'd like to point out that such an effect would defeat the purpose of this mechanism and we would all end up simply dying in the end.

Which, we of course know, doesn't happen either...
