Salt-Free but Light-Headed
Oct. 3rd, 2018 09:13 pmDue to my daughter's suggestion that a salt-free diet consisting mostly of romaine lettuce would likely result in death by malnutrition much sooner than the high blood pressure which led me to embark on it, I left the house early in hopes of finding a low-sodium cookbook at the local B&N.
(LOL, meant to make this private and finish the thought later but I think I was a bit light-headed due to low blood sugar...)

Dunno what your food preferences are, but I like Mediterranean diets in general. They do have some salt, but somehow, their overall effect on blood pressure is benign.

Date: 2018-10-04 04:19 pm (UTC)As I was chomping happily away, I picked up the bread bag and read the label. Astonishing! But, if you're gonna do this, you've gotta read the labels on EVERYTHING. Which I have been doing but, every once in a while, something gets by.
Thanks as well for the suggestion about Med diets because, having largely emptied my cupboards and fridge of "toxic" substances, I'm now scrambling to find new things to put into them and into my diet...
