Who Needs Perfect?

Some days, I think you can't really ask for more than having a project that's going well and is still "in the works," as my old man might've put it.

And today was just such a day.

Gonna turn in early, now--fell asleep sitting up with Steinbeck's Sweet Thursday open on my lap.

So, yeah, there's that too, a good book that you're reading and still have to look forward to tomorrow.

Those two things can make a good day in this life.

The only other thing might be a movie to watch, like Solaris. The Steven Soderberg version with George Clooney and Natascha McElhone.

The one that someone said was too romantic to be considered true to Stanislaw Lem's sci-fi classic.

Tonight, just having it on my shelf downstairs would make everything perfect.

But it's not there, yet, and besides who needs perfect? Tonight is quite good enough as it is and I'm going to bed.

And was it the Soderberg version? Just wondering because I haven't seen either of the, I think, two others. Which I'm thinking might be good for other reasons although, as I said, I liked the Soderberg for the romance...

Yes it was. I haven't seen the others either, though at least one is available via Amazon Prime. As you already know, I'm all about the romance, got to get it where I can if only in my imagination. *sigh*
