So this morning I made it to the Community Youth Center, where I do my treadmill routine, for the first time since "The Big Pull" at the dentist's last week. Yayyy!!!
I actually had 2 appts this week, Monday and Tuesday, Monday for another refitting of the upper and Tuesday for a re-do of the lower crown that he wasn't happy with. And, while there, I asked him if I could re-start my daily fitness routine without blowing out the newly-formed clots over my extractions and he said, yes, they're well-established, no problem.
And so, this AM, I did a reduced walk of 30 minutes on the treadmill and then came home and did about 2/3 of my normal strength/balance/flexibility routine. Which felt really, really good. Not enough to overdo it, but just enough that I felt like I was becoming active again after a short but complete layoff. And that's how I like to do it, what I've found works for me ever since I started doing this at the age of 12-13.
Which makes me pretty happy for the rest of the day's prospects. I have a dinner defrosting in the microwave--which I'm gonna destroy in the blender and eat before the grandson's varsity soccer game this afternoon. This evening, I'll do an oatmeal/banana/strawberry smoothie, maybe some journaling or a movie, then off to bed by 10...

Date: 2019-09-27 11:59 am (UTC)(Because the Nutella--or the store-brand spread I actually use--is such a PITA to clean off the utensils, I keep it in the fridge so it hardens up and put it in chunks into the measuring cup of almond milk until the level comes up another 1/3 cup or so and then dump the whole thing in the blender. Easy-peazy, as my El Ed friends are so fond of saying, lol.)
Then, just blend the bejeezus out of it and enjoy. I suppose--and I certainly don't recommend this--you could use a tbsp or so of organic cocoa and eliminate the calories in the Nutella, but that's like, well, just a sacrilege...

Date: 2019-09-29 09:44 pm (UTC)I have strawberries, blueberries, and bananas in the freezer.
Could substitute yogurt for the almond milk?
No Nutella, didn't grow up eating it and haven't eaten it much.
What I really want is for someone to make me one and hand it to me. Hah

Date: 2019-09-30 12:41 am (UTC)I only use it because my diminutive and frankly gorgeous cardiologist has made it clear that, if reason fails, she will kick my a$$ the next time she sees me. And I totally believe that she would do that.
Please be assured that, if I my arms were just a l-i-i-i-tle bit longer, I'd make one and hand it to you, lol...
