Years ago, my sister-in-law Ann sang with a country-rock group called Overland Express. They played one club date, that I can remember, and then disappeared. And I never really understood why--and never asked her, our lives being as they were back then--but the band was really quite good.
Anyway, near the end of the first set, most of the band left the stage, leaving just Ann and maybe the drums and bass. And with the spotlight on her, she sang a beautiful solo rendition of Stevie Nicks' "Landslide."
What made me think of that was that I've recently been listening to a couple of family vocal groups on YouTube who perform mostly folk, county, bluegrass, etc. And one of them, The Petersens, from Branson Missouri, did their rendition of the Nicks tune. Which I thought was also quite good...
