thisnewdayJust got back from the Home Depot where I bought a floor fan to put next to the bike when I'm using the mag trainer.
I figured that this time of year they might be on sale, since September is when we get those early hints of changing seasons, the slow, planetary drift into shorter days and cooler weather.
The fans weren't on sale, but I think I found the perfect one anyway: floor-standing, 3-speeds, adjustable height. And black to match the bike and mag trainer.
Because even in realms of sheer physicality, like my daily fitness regimen, visual harmony is a nice accompaniment.
And so I brought it home and carried it down to the basement.
Where, tonight, I may be using it because it looks like rain.
Not the hard one--which that Zimmerman kid said is gonna fall--but, you know, just rain...

Date: 2020-09-03 09:29 pm (UTC)Before the craziness of last spring, I'd been attending the Thursday morning book club at the LPL and always wondered if I'd happen to see you.
Then that closed down and they had their first meeting, last week, via ZOOM. I've had some personal stuff going on and hadn't felt up to setting up/learning the necessary technology and so didn't attend. But I'm hoping to maybe rejoin next month.
I've gotta tell you, though, I really and truly miss the Night Writer days, er, nights, when we all sat around the table with Jill and the group and felt like there was a reason to put it all down on paper...
