Riding, To Find Out

It's raining this morning, just a light rain, so far, but I don't ride in the rain, these days.

And today, of all days, I needed to ride outside, to feel free but connected with whatever good there might still be in this world.

I just don't know if it's out there for me.

But I know that I need to be out there, riding, to find out...

I walk...not every day but today was supposed to be a walk day. It wasn't.

I've seen some of your walking stats and they're pretty impressive.

For me, the bike routine is directly linked to my sanity, as well as my physical well-being.

I have a magnetic resistance trainer to use with it, once the weather gets bad, but sometimes life closes in in a way that makes the indoors virtually intolerable.

I'm sorry you didn't get to do your walk because I know how important these things are-- especially now...

Having a hard time hanging on to the goodness. Even though I do see it all around me, it's not sinking in. I'm either numb or scared shitless. Hope you get to ride today.

Thanks, I did manage to get two rides in. Although they were only 2 hours apart, they were outdoors and helped a lot.

And yes, the goodness is hard to hang onto, if you can find it at all. Which makes numb AND scared shitless perfectly reasonable.

I do think you're in a very good place, though, for what we have now and for what's ahead.
