I just picked up my car and the bill was $300 over the amount where I was gonna consider trading it.

Just to give you an idea of how bad this is, I'm thinking about starting a Go Fund Me account.

Not for me, but for my kids, because I just spent their inheritance getting the dang car fixed, lol...

Yeah, well, at least now I can drive on the highway and go above 40 MPH again. During the past two months, I've learned more about city streets than I ever wanted to know, lol...

Ouch! I'm so sorry. What did the issue turn out to be?

The problem, as it turns out, was the brakes. However, I'm gonna have to drive it a bit, under varying conditions, to assure myself that this was really the cause.

The reason being that the problem presented in a way that I'd never seen before. Of course, my experience as a mechanic is many years behind me now, and technologies in many areas have changed, but this was truly weird.

Anyway, I took it to the dealership where I bought the car, where they know the brand, and they've done OK by me in the past, so I'm hoping for the best...
