After my second fall--yes, there was another one which I'm still trying to write about--I've been a bit slower getting back on my feet.

I rode twice yesterday and exercised for the first time in about a week. The bike rides have helped push blood flow through the jammed-up knees and thereby reduced both pain and swelling.

The right elbow, though, which took the main impact in the second fall, is still swollen and very tender to the touch. The good thing is that I actually have no joint pain throughout the full range of motion.

Anyway, did all that yesterday, plus some work in the shop. And then slept for 9-1/2 hours last night! As somebody once said, "Ya slept that long, ya musta needed it!"

I'm pretty sure that, in my case at least, they would've been right!

Hope everyone has a good day. And stays safe. With no falls, lol...

Apparently this is accident week. I have a swollen and faintly bruised eye from an argument with the Olympic bar. No more falls!

Ouch!

Your experience is one of the reasons I don't bike anymore even though I was a demon bike rider back in the day.

I keep dreading how much damage the (inevitable) small crash-and-falls will do to me.

So two falls, are you trying to keep up with me? Very happy to hear it wasn't worse. After a month I graduated from the walker and then after a second month am now mostly walking without the cane. Been doing a lot of upper body work outs just in case I find myself needing to drag my body along the floor some day. Tried the stationary bike, but only five minutes ended in much pain and nasty limp. OK... all together now folks.. NO MORE FALLS!

Good luck in your recovery L.
