Not Quite Almost Famous
Sep. 8th, 2008 11:50 pmI don't remember if I read them the whole story. (The writers' group that I used to belong to.) I don't remember if I even wrote the whole story. And that was only a few years ago, the writing and the reading of it. Whereas, the story itself was a lifetime ago.
It was Russell Hammond and Penny Lane and Ben Fong-Torres that made me remember it, made me remember my own story. Made me wonder if I'd ever really told it. Made me think that it might still be possible to tell it right and get it out there.
Not on the cover of Rolling Stone. Just, you know, somewhere that someone might read it and say, "Wow, so that's what it was like to be not quite Almost Famous, to have lived that life, back in the '60s..."

Passing through, maybe pausing for a minute, before moving on to another place in this life...
