That Beauty, That Life, That Loss

I could have all of the most desirable possessions in the world surrounding me, which arguably I do, and none of it would make up for the fact that once, long ago, I turned my back on the love of a beautiful young girl.

And that is what I mourn. Not for my own loss and not for anything that I don't presently have, but for the loss of that beauty, that life, from this world...
