When Daylight Crosses the Planet

thisnewdayOK, so that was a little weird. But this whole week has so taken me out of my game. Since July 12th, the day after my surgery, I hadn't missed a day of walking. And since starting physical therapy, I hadn't missed a day of doing my exercises. And it all seemed to be working. Because I was doing the work, it was all coming back.
Now this. And yes, I'm old enough to know that how you handle the setbacks says more about you than how you handle what you think are the good times. But I have a strong dislike for drugs and doctors and doors closing. And right now, the prospects seem good for seeing much more of all of them.
What I'm gonna do is see if I can get a little more sleep tonight. I did some more work on the computer shelf today and plan to sand and prime it tomorrow. I've also started working on a plan to go back to school and back to work. The school and work ideas have evolved, more or less together, from a growing desire for one more career. You know, as a way of closing out my work life with something more positive than a forced retirement.
So yeah, the next time daylight crosses this part of the planet, those are the things that I'll be working on...
