Don't look her up if you're clinically depressed or even slightly down or just looking for a story with a happy ending.

Claire is not the latter. She's everybody's ending, but at three or four times the speed of ordinary life.

I wasn't looking for anything in particular when I found her but, when I did, I felt like I'd found something I needed.

And since everybody is looking for and needs something different... well, you know how that works.

Except, of course, that what you're looking for and what you need may not be the same thing either.

And who knows what you'll get, anyway?

I got lucky because I got Claire. And because it happened to be the right time for me.

And the world got lucky too. Because it had her for a while.

Not long enough but, you know, long enough...
