The REAL Football
Nov. 16th, 2015 01:24 pmGreat news for local fans of the REAL game of football. The Syracuse University men's soccer team won the Atlantic Coast Conference(ACC) tournament on Sunday by beating Notre Dame 1-0 down in South Bend, Indiana. By winning their conference championship, SU receives an automatic bid to the NCAA tournament.
Enroute to this win, the SU men beat the #2-ranked Clemson Tigers on their home field for the second time this season. (Notre Dame beat the #1-ranked Demon Deacons of Wake Forest to earn their spot in the championship.)
Congratulations to coaches McIntyre, Masalin, Verni, and Stevenson, and best of luck in the upcoming NCAAs.
And, LOL, my sincere condolences to Syracuse fans of the "other" football. You know, the one in which #1 Clemson beat SU 37-27 on Saturday using their marching band and several cheerleaders...
