Disaffected Days

thisnewdayTwo nights ago, I had one of those dreams in which our lips touched briefly and then pulled away. And I woke up wondering if, in those moments, there'd been something more than physical contact or if I'd somehow been mistaken.
Then, as the day wore on, I learned once more that there's an ambiance to dreams that can seldom be recaptured, and never held for long, in the cold light of disaffected days...
