thisnewdayEven though I haven't read this month's selection, I've decided to attend this morning's meeting of the book club in Liverpool.
It's been a couple of months since I last attended and, as I explained in a text to my grandson, it's one of the few things I do, these days, to maintain contact with anyone outside of the family.
So, the phone will be off and I'll be some distance away from the goings-on here. In the hope that I'll actually be getting, in some sense, closer to myself.

Oddly enough, when I did an internet search for the book, which was published in 2016 or -17, I found another one titled just "Radium Girls" authored by a man and published in 2004 or -05. Might be interesting to know the story of that.
Glad to hear you've been reading but sorry about the poor reception for the strawberry shortcake--which is a personal favorite of mine--and did, indeed, look fabulous.
