[The following is my brief comment in local media on this morning's news of the passing of celebrity chef and intrepid traveler Anthony Bourdain. Upon reflection, my RIP seems an inappropriate wish for this man's afterlife, considering the way he lived, but I'll leave it here because I'm quoting something previously said...]

I've never seen an outpouring of collective grief in the little social media inlets that I inhabit quite like the one I've seen for Anthony Bourdain.

He touched something in a lot of people. Myself included...
