What're Ya Gonna Shoot?

thisnewdayToday, unfortunately, I can't go down to my basement and shoot holes in things. Or drill holes in them either. Because tomorrow my daughter is having glass block windows installed down there and I've had to move and/or cover up just about everything.
In the process, I think I jacked up my back taking down the fixture that holds the 8 x 10 carpet that hangs behind the target box. Which I also had to wrestle onto a dolly and move.
Anyway, I'm gonna use the day to retrace the steps I took to research and gather parts for my Thomas the Train track project. I had managed to build a halfway credible prototype but discovered some problems and learned some things that I'll need to incorporate into the finished product.
I know, all this effort for a Thomas the Train project when #NotMyPresident is busy slobbering on his KGBFF's butt cheeks while the data chip in his otherwise empty cranium is being replaced with the latest model.
While, in the meantime, my BoB stands empty in a corner next to my Benjamin Trail .22. Because, when the endgame comes, where ya gonna run? And what're ya gonna shoot?
Because, either way, (thanks M_C, for how you framed it) we're all just small, dead mammals...

Date: 2018-07-18 03:04 pm (UTC)Well, considering that the local pols are now scheming to get their hands on some of the $19 million in state money that's been approved for an inland freight terminal in Dewitt, maybe I could tell them I was lead designer and project manager for T-t-T Rail Projects, Inc.
They won't know what T-t-T is and won't want to show their ignorance by asking. Of course, given that I'm not a relative of Joanie Mahoney or Sen. DeFrancisco, I could be a GE Transportation exec and not have a shot...
