Pissed off
Oct. 2nd, 2008 01:04 pmBecause I hadn't wanted to call him when bad things were happening here, I hadn't called my dad in several weeks. He's 94, in assisted living and doesn't need any bad vibes.
Finally, this morning, I decided to call. Not that things had gotten better, just that I was more worried about not being in touch. So I apologized and explained, in very general terms, why I hadn't called earlier. He didn't ask for specifics which, this time, was better for both of us.
Anyway, at the end of it, he told me what a great son I was and wished me a life longer than his. I guess he really was pissed off...
