Gotta Breathe
Oct. 17th, 2020 03:48 pmVery rarely have I used my nebulizer more than twice a day. My prescription is actually written for up to four uses per day, but that's to assure that I have adequate meds in case I get sick. So my daily routine has been to use it in the morning, when I get up, and then again at night before I go to bed.
Today, though, I've been bothered most of the day with a dry, mostly unproductive cough and a feeling of "something" in my lungs. The sort of feeling I have in the morning when I first get up.
The last time I did a "three-a-day," I didn't like the result for reasons I can't even remember. Maybe a side effect, like dizziness or nervous agitation. So I was reluctant to try it again this time.
I'd tried to nap, but couldn't get comfortable. So finally went upstairs and did a midday treatment. And, guess what, I feel much better!
Still have no clue as to what the problem is, maybe an uptick in the seasonal allergies that I've been plagued with since childhood and for which I still take other medications.
Anyway, I'm glad I had this option and decided to use it. I'm gonna sit for a few minutes and read and then do my workout and then my bike ride--which I'm sure increases my exposure to whatever is in the air.
But I've gotta ride, just like I've gotta eat and breathe.
Hope everyone is having a halfway decent day...
