Gotta Breathe
Oct. 17th, 2020 03:48 pmVery rarely have I used my nebulizer more than twice a day. My prescription is actually written for up to four uses per day, but that's to assure that I have adequate meds in case I get sick. So my daily routine has been to use it in the morning, when I get up, and then again at night before I go to bed.
Today, though, I've been bothered most of the day with a dry, mostly unproductive cough and a feeling of "something" in my lungs. The sort of feeling I have in the morning when I first get up.
The last time I did a "three-a-day," I didn't like the result for reasons I can't even remember. Maybe a side effect, like dizziness or nervous agitation. So I was reluctant to try it again this time.
I'd tried to nap, but couldn't get comfortable. So finally went upstairs and did a midday treatment. And, guess what, I feel much better!
Still have no clue as to what the problem is, maybe an uptick in the seasonal allergies that I've been plagued with since childhood and for which I still take other medications.
Anyway, I'm glad I had this option and decided to use it. I'm gonna sit for a few minutes and read and then do my workout and then my bike ride--which I'm sure increases my exposure to whatever is in the air.
But I've gotta ride, just like I've gotta eat and breathe.
Hope everyone is having a halfway decent day...

Date: 2020-10-19 05:22 pm (UTC)I've been looking into specialized masks which allow triple-filtered intake of air with easy exhalation through a one-way port. So, not something that could be worn indoors because, while it would presumably protect me, it would not protect those around me. Which is probably OK in the open air outdoors, right?
