Just the Facts
Oct. 22nd, 2006 11:59 pmLate yesterday, the body of a six year old boy was brought to the morgue of a local hospital. Previously, two of his siblings had died in infancy.
Earlier in the day, the boy had been left in the care of his grandfather. That evening, another family member, returning home, found the boy in a bedroom, hung by his neck.
At another hospital, nearby, the boy's uncle received the news and was inconsolable in his grief. When he was able to talk, he said that the boy had missed his father.
Miles away, in a state penitentiary, the boy's father awaited the news. No one knew how to tell him that his last child, his son, his namesake, was dead.
